How it began

Our Story

8 years ago Shannon and Wimpie met at a cupcake fundraiser for cancer at her school. It was this day that she found out that he had some advice to offer in preparation for her university applications.

What started out as one coffee talking about studies turned into longer and more regular coffee dates where their conversations drifted from studies to getting to know each other. All this led up to the fateful day when Wimpie took Shannon out for lunch on her birthday, showed his hand with a deck of cards and the rest, as they say, is history.

Since then coffee dates became date nights, date nights became virtual date nights over the long distance and on a sunny Sunday Wimpie got down on one knee at a beautiful wine farm.

Seven years, thousands of kilometers traveled and three years of long distance, they are ready to make it official in front of everyone they love.

Questions & Answers

• Is there parking at the venue? +
  Yes, there is ample free parking on site. We do encourage carpooling and ask that you arrange a designated driver if you plan to enjoy the cash bar.
• What's the dress code? +
  Semi-formal. We'd love guests to embrace the colour palette — soft coral, peach, french blue and navy are welcome. Please avoid white and ivory. The ceremony will be outdoors.
• Can I take Photos during the ceremony? +
  We're having an unplugged ceremony — so please put phones away and enjoy the moment with us. Our photographer will capture everything beautifully. After the ceremony, snap away!
• What time should I arrive? +
  Guests are welcome from 15:30 PM. Guests should be seated at 15:45. Late arrivals will be asked to wait until the processional is complete.
• Will there be a cash bar? +
  Yes there will be a cash bar, please feel free to bring your cash or card.
